1. HOW DO YOU CHARGE?
My professional fee depends on these 4 factors:
PROJECT TYPE / SCOPE OF WORK - Would you need a full service interior design or an interior styling service?
PROJECT LOCATION - Is the project in Metro Manila? North or South?
PROJECT TIMELINE - Are you in a rush to finish the project? If yes, I need to double my resources, which means I need extra help and I might hire necessary suppliers to expedite the work.
SIZE OF THE SPACE - Even though I don't charge per sqm. or sqft., I still need to know how big your space is so I know what I'm working with.

2. HOW MUCH FOR A __ SQM. SPACE?
Common misconception about interior design rates is that our fee only depends on the size of the space. Size is just one factor when it comes to how I charge for my services.
Aside from the area of the space, I would need to know the Project Type/Scope of Work, Location, and Timeline so I can determine the difficulty and extent of the project.

3. HOW MUCH WILL MY PROJECT COST? CAN YOU GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE?
I cannot provide a cost estimate of the entire project yet without an approved design. I can only provide you a quotation for my professional fee so we can start producing the designs. Total project cost will depend on the final design and scope of work, your chosen contractor and suppliers, and approved furnishings, materials, and finishes.
While design pegs help me start the design, they can't be the sole basis of the total project cost.

Please answer completely and share as much details as you can! I appreciate it when clients share design pegs, actual photos of their spaces, and floor plans. These make it a lot easier for me to assess the project and provide a professional fee accordingly.
5. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FULL-SERVICE INTERIOR DESIGN & AN INTERIOR STYLING SERVICE?
The main difference between these services is for my Full Service Interior Design, it includes customization. If you want custom furniture, built-in cabinets, additional lights and electrical outlets, your project automatically falls under this type. I need to provide technical plans for lighting and convenience outlets for the contractor to follow, and working drawings for customized furniture and storage units for furniture makers.
For my Interior Styling Service, I won't be providing technical plans and working drawings anymore because we'll mainly be doing on-the-surface work: furnishing your space with off-the-rack furniture and decor.

6. IS CONSTRUCTION PART OF YOUR SCOPE?
I don't offer construction services (also why I can't give total project quotations), but I provide design supervision during construction.
Aside from design supervision, I also guide clients in the selection of necessary contractors and suppliers to execute my design, so no need to worry if you don't know any contractor!
7. HOW LONG DO PROJECTS NORMALLY LAST?
This depends on the scope of the project. In an ideal situation, full-service interior design projects should take a minimum of 4 months from the design phase > construction phase > styling phase.
However, due to the pandemic and multiple factors that are out of our control like the weather, supplier issues, factory errors, and unpredictable influences, clients are advised to keep an open mind when it comes to the project timeline. Everyone involved: interior designer, client, suppliers and contractors are expected to not cause unreasonable delays in the project.
As the client, you can ensure we finish the project on time by making quick decisions, releasing funds on-time, and being on top of the project.
8. DO YOU HAVE MINIMUM PROJECT REQUIREMENTS?
For now, I can only offer my services for full condominium unit projects within Metro Manila. I have to implement these requirements so I could select projects that would complement with my existing commitments, manage my schedule better, and produce the quality of work that is expected from me in every project.
9. DO YOU SELL FURNITURE?
I don't sell furniture yet, but that's one of my goals in the next years!
I only provide the plans for the custom furniture and look for furniture makers to fabricate them when a project calls for it.

I need to review if your project fits my minimum project requirements because as I mentioned previously, I can only initiate and handle a few projects at a time.
